River Arts is putting out a call to artists for its' 3rd annual juried Open Studio Weekend event May 28 - 29th, 2011, 10 a.m. - 5 p.m. Lamoille Valley visual, craft, and design artists in all media are invited to exhibit and sell their work, with the goal of bringing an anticipated 16 artists under one roof! Open Studio Weekend is a statewide celebration of the visual arts and the creative process in which Vermont artists and craftspeople invite the public to visit them in their studios during Memorial Day Weekend, May 29 - 30. More than 236 sites will be open during this event, with more than 300 artists and artisans participating. The River Arts space provides an opportunity for artists without a suitable studio to participate in this statewide event.
Interested artists should mail at least 5 samples of their work to: info@riverartsvt.org and/or send a link to their website. Spaces are limited, exhibitor fee of $45. All submissions must be received by April 25, 2011. Name, address, media and a short bio for jury purposes should be included.
