March 13 - April 25, 2014
River Arts Center, 74 Pleasant Street, Morrisville, VT

"It's You" by Harlan Mack

The Gallery at River Arts is pleased to present  "Draughts for Every Passing Game," current work by Harlan Mack, March 13 - April 25, 2014 at the River Arts Center in Morrisville.

Harlan Mack’s recent work," Draughts for Every Passing Game," generates an apocalyptic narrative “on the efforts of the Spirit of Death in the pursuit of a retirement.” The exhibit consists mainly of drawings on tar paper “that act like paintings” and steel sculptures “that act like drawings.” Mack has developed an unconventional approach to mixed media, working primarily with acrylic, gesso and solvents on tarpaper.

Harlan Mack is a sculptor and painter from Washington, Vermont. Mack has a studio at the Vermont Studio Center, where he works as the Sculpture Technician.  He graduated in late 2012 from the Masters of Fine Arts program at Johnson State College, facilitated by the Vermont Studio Center.
