PRESS RELEASE: Hal Mayforth at Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery in Shelburne

Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery of Shelburne, will be showing a small exhibition of recent paintings by Hal Mayforth through November 30, 2009.
Hal Mayforth, a Vermont native, currently resides in East Montpelier. He has made a significant reputation for himself in the field of illustration, with his work regularly appearing in such publications as Newsweek, Rolling Stone, U.S. News and World Report, and many other major magazines. Mayforth's work, whether as illustration or fine art, contains many references to human foibles, while containing traces of his trademark humor and a distinctive blend of marks, textures, and symbols to create a unique vocabulary both spontaneous and intuitive.

Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery is located at 86 Falls Road, in ShelburneVillage. Hours are Tue-Fri 9:30-5:30, and Sat 10-5. For more information
