PRESS RELEASE: Karen Day-Vath at UVM's Davis Center

St. Albans painter Karen Day-Vath is showing a collection of recent works at the Chittenden Bank’s UVM branch on the first floor of the Dudley Davis Student Center in Burlington from November 1 through December 31. The exhibit is free and open to the public.
The exhibit consists of bold and colorful abstract paintings from her “Primary Colors” series, a series that also reflects her fondness for the music and memories of her hometown, New York City.

Ms. Day-Vath is an active member of the flourishing community arts scene in St. Albans. She has collaborated with community members and local organizations to mount many exhibits designed to showcase local artists and their work. Recent efforts include the Franco American Heritage Quadricentennial Festival, Art Exhibits in Taylor Park, the Taylor Park Food and Wine Festival and the Missisquoi National Wildlife Refuge Project.

Ms. Day-Vath serves on the Executive Board of the Saint Albans Artist Guild. She is also a resident artist at the Staart Gallery in St. Albans. She is currently working on a new body of work, incorporating new processes in mixed media and texture, some of which is on display at the Staart Gallery, located at 42 North Main Street in St. Albans.
