MORRISVILLE: Abstract Paintings by Lisa Forster Beach

The Gallery at River Arts is pleased to present an exhibit of abstract paintings by Lisa Forster Beach, NWS, VWS February 7 March 25 at the River Arts Center in Morrisville.  There will be an opening reception on February 7, 5:00-7:00 p.m.  In conjunction with the exhibit, Beach will lead a one session painting design workshop Saturday, February 9, 9:00 - 2:00 p.m. at the River Arts Center, pre-registration is required. 

Lisa Forster Beach is an award winning artist living in Stowe, Vermont. She is widely recognized for her drawings, as well as her acrylic and watercolor paintings. Represented in this body of work, are Beach's responses to her environment, experiences, impressions, and perceptions, both seen and felt.  Beach builds up many layers of transparent paint in her paintings, the layers relating conceptually to the layers present in the Earth, body, and consciousness.

In addition to many solo shows, Beach's work has been accepted in numerous group and national exhibitions.  She was honored with signature membership in  the National Watercolor Society in 1986.  Her background includes a Master of Fine Arts degree in Painting from Rochester Institute of Technology, a BS degree in Art Education from Edinboro University of Pennsylvania, and study with many master painters.  She is acclaimed for her teaching, which includes watercolor workshops, internationally, nationally, and regionally, art museum classes, college courses, public school, Elderhostel, and classes in her Stowe Hollow Studio.
