January 25 ‘Passion for Pastels’ Art Show and Reception at BALE

painting by Deb Rice
BALE (Building a Local Economy) hosts a pastel show of the work of four local artists; Kate Reeves, Deb Rice, Wendy Wells, and Monique van de Ven. Reeves, Rice and van de Ven have been part of a painting group called W.O.W, Women of Watercolor, for over five years. Wells recently retired from teaching art the Bethel Schools and now teaches an evening pastel class in Randolph, where Rice and van de Ven were inspired to have a showing of their work.

They have come together with with Reeves to offer a diverse and colorful show to support BALE, which is a community resource center for local economy initiatives in the White River Valley.

The opening reception is Friday, January 25 from 5-7 p.m. and the show will run thru April. The BALE community space is located at 35 South Windsor Street in South Royalton. Refreshments will be served and all are welcome. For more information, email info@balevt.org or call 802-498-8438.
