BRATTLEBORO: Hidden in the Hills - Kafka Gardens

Hidden in the Hills: Kafka Gardens
September 2, Sunday, 2 p.m.

If you're not a member of the Brattleboro Museum of Art (BMAC), now would be a good reason to join. (There are hundreds of others when you see the long list of reciprocal museums you can visit).

I'll just leave it at this: This is a rare chance to see this landmark stone work, "Archer's Pavilion," by Mastercraftsman Dan Snow.

Hidden in the Hills introduces BMAC members to unusual artist studios, collections, and residences “hidden” throughout the tri-state region surrounding Brattleboro. On September 2, BMAC members are invited to visit the gardens of Ernest and Barbara Kafka, which feature stonework by Dan Snow, including Archer’s Pavilion. A best-selling cookbook author and winner of the James Beard Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award, Barbara Kafka maintains an extensive kitchen garden, which will also be open for viewing.

Admission: Free, open to BMAC members only. Not a member? Click here.
For directions: call 802-257-0124, ext. 101 or email office@brattleboromuseum.org
