Janet Van Fleet and Marc Awodey Pass the Torch to Meg Brazill

After running Vermont Art Zine for over three and a half years, co-founders, co-publishers, and co-editors Janet Van Fleet and Marc Awodey are passing the torch to Meg Brazill (who will serve as Editor and Publisher) and Amy Cook (who will begin as a contributor and Editorial Assistant). Both Brazill and Cook come to Vermont Art Zine with significant experience in writing about the visual arts, and will bring new ideas, new energy, and new direction to the publication. Press releases and other correspondence for the new staff can be sent to vermontartzine@gmail.com

Marc and Janet ran Vermont Art Zine as a labor of love on a completely volunteer basis, beginning in January, 2009, contributing many hours every week to publishing information about visual arts exhibits all over the state. Vermont Art Zine has become a valuable resource for links to Vermont artists’ blogs and websites, as well as the site’s listing of links to galleries, arts centers, and arts organizations around the state.

They will continue to contribute on occasion to Vermont Art Zine, and, since they are both visual artists, you’ll continue to see their work around the state, and in these pages!
